RESOLUTION 83-013
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR 'AND
CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT
WITH HEALTH FITNESS CONSULTANTS FOR AN
EMPLOYEE F-ITNESS- PROGRAM (POLICE/FIRE)
WHEREAS , the- City Council recognizes the need to assure that
Police and Fire Department personnel remain in top physical
condition .to allow them to adequately meet the physical and
emotional stress of their duties ; and
WHEREAS , funds are allocated for such a program in the 1983
City Budget; and
WHEREAS , the. Manager, Police Chief and Fire Chief have met with
various agencies which assist in the implementation of such
programs and have compared the techniques , strategies and philo-
sophies employed by each firm as well as the costs involved and
have recommended that Health Fitness Consultants , Inc. be retained
to assist in implementation of a :fitness program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE' IT RESOLVED, by. the City Council of the City
of St. Anthony that the Mayor and City Manager be authorized to
enter into an Agreement with Health Fitness Consultants, Inc.
for the implementation of said fitness program at an estimated
1983 cost of $2 ,700 .
