A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE NATIONAL WEATHER
SERVICE REGARDING THE PURCHASE OF A DOPPLER RADAR
SYSTEM ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY
WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony desires to donate to the United States of
America, Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration,
National Weather Service a Triton Doppler Radar System; and
WHEREAS, bids were let and subsequently awarded to Kavouras, Inc. ; and
WHEREAS, said Radar System shall be tested and evaluated by the National Weather
Service for a suitable time period. Results of the evaluation shall be submitted
to the City in written form and will indicate acceptance or rejection of the
Radar System._ Upon acceptance by the National Weather Service and in accordance
with -the Agireement, ownership of the Radar System shall be transferred from the
City to the National Weather Service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor
• and City Manager to enter into the Agreement with the National Weather Service
on behalf of the City of St. Anthony.
