Planning Board Z,inutes
June 10, 1963
The special meeting of the St. Anthony Village Planning Board was called
to order by the Chairman at 7:30 P.M. on Monday, June 10, 19E3.
The following members were present:
Dougherty, Rosinek, Skovran, Cou'.ter, Hansen, DiCarlo
and the following were absent: Rocks
Fir. W.A. Schaefer of W.A. Shaefer and Associates presented the proposed
plan layout of the Elmwood Lutheran Church to be located east of Chelmsford Rd.
at the intersection of Wendhurst Avenue.
Moved by Skovran, seconded by Coulter to approve the proposed layout as
shown on the plat plan. The architects will submit more detailed plans on the
structure, screening and plantings.
All in favor.
Motion Carried
Merril Stenglein of the Belair Corp. appeared regarding relocation of one
apartment building being constructed at Silver Lake Rd. and the Soo Line Railway
due to water conditions.
Moved by Hansen, seconded by Skovran to approve the relocation as described
by Mr. Stenglein.
All in favor.
Motion Carried
Mr. Andrew Horvath of 3200 - 29th Ave. N.E. appeared requesting the minimum
side yard requirement of 5 feet be waived to permit expansion of the present
garage at said address. The proposed expansion would be 3 feet from the property
line. Mr. Horvath also presented a letter from Mr. Haug, the owner of the
abutting property stating that he had no objection to the proposed expansion.
Moved by DiCarlo, seconded by Hansen to approve waiving the 5 foot side
yard requirement on the garage expansion at 3200 - 29th Ave. N.E.
All in favor.

Ken Benson of Arvid Carlson and Sons appeared to present a proposed develop-
ment in the St. Anthony Industrial Park of Bauer Welding and Metal Fabrication.
Moved by DiCarlo to approve the preliminary proposal of Arvid Carlson and
Sons. The proposed use would qualify as a light industrial operation as outlined
in Ordinance #66. The location of the proposed development is presently zoned
light industrial and a building permit will be issued upon approval of the final
plans by the Planning Board, Village Council and Building Inspector. The fore-
going motion was seconded by Coulter.
All in favor.
Motion Carried
