Village of St. Anthony
May 13, 1964
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman at 7:30 Ptd in the Village full
at 2900 Kenzie Terrace, Minneapolis 18, Minnesota.
The following r°rerbers were present; Hotwi tz, Rocks, Springer, Mesenbriting, Errond,
and Englund
Absent; Coulter
The minutes of i:he meeting of April 20, 1964, were approved as read.

discussion of this item. The chairman announced that this was the time and place
to hold a public hearing on the request o; Lowry Grove, Inc. to relocate 28 trailer
spaces within Lowry Grove Mobile Manor. fir. Mev. r, representing Lowry Grove,

Moved by Englund, seconded by Rocks to table action on the request until sow. study
could be trade as to the possibility of amending Ordinance #r66 to regulate area,
density, and setback requirements within a mobile home park as is done in all other
areas and zoning classifications within the Village.
Howitz abstained. All in favor. Motion carries'.
2. Mr. Po,arenke of Partridge Construction Co. presented plans for 20 units of
"town houses" to be constructed on Lots 11 & 12, Block 12, Mounds View Acres,
Second Addition. The proposed developr.�nt conforr,asd to the area requirements
and setback requirements.
Moved by Nesenbring, seconded by Rocks to approve plans providing the proper setbacks
and parking requiremnts are maintained.
All in favor. Motion carried.
3. Tha board examined the proposed division of Lots 12 & 13, Bloch §, Mounds View
Acres, Second Addition by Lowell Gearhart. The resultant lots were within the
minimum requirements with the exception of two lots having 74.84 fr. and 74.66 ft.

All in favor. Motion carried.
4. The board examined the proposed division of Lots t, 2 & 3, Bloch; 4, Clark &
King's Hennepin Gardens by Ed Tourancgeau. The lots were re-divided to front on
Roosevelt St. NE. Two of tine lots were 72 ft. wide and contained 10,800 sq. ft.
• Moved by Emond, seconded by Englund to approve the division and grant a frontage
waiver on the two undersized lots.
All it favor. Lotion carried.

5. Nicholas Ki tchar presented proposed division or property at 3432 Silver Lake Road.
The resultant lots would be 72 ft. and 57.6 ft. Mr. Kitchar had proposed house pians
for the 57.6 ft. lot and the location of the house was -well within ;:he setback require-
me,nts.
Moved by Mesenbring, seconded by Springer to approve the division providing the house
plan be similar to the one presented to the board and that the side yard require=nts
be complied with.
All in favor. ;lotion carried.
6. The board considered the present setback and yard requirements of Ordinance ##66.
More ti aae i s needed to complete the study. This item t.as tabled.
7. The board examined the application for a building permit from Burton Welding Co.
to place a sign advertising his operation.
Moved by Rocks, seconded by Emond to table action until the board rwn;bers could
view the property and the proposed location of the sign.
All in savor. Motion carried.
8. Robert Bailey presented a requast for a waiver of side yard requirement on they
property at 3207 Silver Lake Road from 30 feet to 11 feet. The proposed addition
to his house would extend to within 11 feet of the north property tine. The present
setback is 21 ft'.
Moved by Springer, seconded by Mesenbring to approve the waiver providing that any
garage plated on the cask side of -the house be within the 30 ft. minimum setback
requiremnt.
All in favor. Motion carried.
9. Chat Herringer presented an application for rezoning lots 1, 2 & 3, ex. W. 10 ft.
thereof and the Pill of Lot 4, Block 2, Soo Line Addition from two-family residential
to com.-nercial to permit construction of a superette dairy store.
Moved by Rocks, seconded by Springer to deny the request as it is not a desirable
deveiop�nt for the area.
All in fl=avor. Motion carried.
10. The board examined the request of John Maim at 3208 - 33rd Ave. NE to divide
his property into 4 lots 62.5 ft. by 132.76 ft.
Moved by Rocks, seconded by Mesenbring to approve proposed division subject to
acquisition or a .51 ft. outlot along 321 Ave. to obtain street access.
All in favor. Motion carried.
11. Walter Thurftedahl presented a request for variance in existing zoning on
Lots 1, 2, 3 & 4, Block 10, Mounds Viers Acres Second Addition. The proposed rezoning
• is from single faad ly residential to two-family residential along -the N. 120 ft.
of Block 10, and the remainder of the block to be multiple dwaliing.
Moved by Rocks, seconded by Springer to hold u public hearing on the request- on
June 15, 1964.
All in savor. Motion carried.
