August 18, 1964
The metinn was called to order by the chairman.
The following members .-mre present; Howitz, Springer, Ertond, Englund, Mesenbring,
Coulter, Sovlden
Absent-. done
The Chairman keicomed Mr. Richard Sodden to the St. Anthony Village Planning Board.
Mr. Sodden took the place of Erik Rocks who resigned as of August 1, 1964.
Correction: August. 4, 1964 minutes: Brick to extend to roof eaves.
1 . The Board examined the application for a Building P£rmit by Rodney Biliman to allow
placement of three signs. There was no as to the type or location of
the signs. -'his information neust be obtained before ti-he permit can b: considered.
2. The Board received a petition from the property owners along Stinson Blvd. regarding
rezoning of their property from cotxnercial to single family residential. The
• petition was accepted and i i led to be considered at the public nearing oil Tuesday,
Septerker 1, 1964.
3. Robert Tousley presented an architects skotch of the Apache Car Wash with stucco
around the Lipper Part of tha bui frling to contrast wi th the si gn letters.
Moved by Emond to allow Mr. .Tousley to use 4-112 feet of stucco around the top of
tie bu 3ding. This motion died for lack of a second.
The boards recommndation of August' 4, i964 will remain unchanged,

buildings to front on Macalaster Drive rather than face each other.

Mr. Johnson also presen- ed a proposed division of Lot 1, Block 10, Mound's View
Acres Second Addition.
Moved by Springer seconded by Sc den to approve the division as shown on survey.

parking lot on Eel&n Drive by the Nativity Lutheran Church.
Mr. Sowden arrange a ra*_-eti ng with the church building corrni Liee and the

Mr. Porter presented a letter- to the Bo.rd regarding the dirt problem during
construction. This latter will be referred to the council for appropriate action.
6. A letter and proposed plat plan for addition to Medtronics Inc. was a:tamined by
the board.
Moved by Emnd seconded by Sowden to approve the preliminary plan as presented and
and suggest -ha- the architects contact the Stattie Highway Depa rtr ent regarding
4 foot setback from the Highway right o :ray.

7. Moved by Springer saconded by Mesenbring to request '::hat the council permit the
planning board to work with thn Park consultants in preparing specifications for
three different levels o; plantings to be used as green strips and screenings on
Future plans presented to the Planning Board for approval.
All in Favor. Mo-ion Carried.
8. si is noted that the parking areas in the Partridge Town Houses are open car ports.
The planning hoard approved glans for said town houses which indicated enclosed
garages.

9. Springer and Englund viii review Ordinance No. 66 and report: at Sept. 15, 196h
meting.
Moved by Englund seconded by Mssenbring to adjourn.
