VILLAGE OF ST. ANTHONY
PLANNING BOARD MINUTES
August 16, 1966
1. Call to Order
The regular meeting of the St. Anthony Village Planning Board was called
to order by the Chairman, Louis Howitz at 7:40 P.M. on Tuesday, August 16, 1966.
2. The following members were present at roll call :
Louis Howitz, Robert Mesenbring, Donald Kronk, Fred Katterheinrich,
Curtis Englund, Dr. Thomas Emond
Absent :
Duane Miedtke
also present was Norbert Maher and Harry Lekson.
3. Minutes
The minutes of the regular meeting of July 19, 1966 were approved as
submitted.
4. Public Hearings
A. An informal public hearing on request of the Village Council to discuss
issuance of a building permit was called to order by Chairman Howitz. Object-
ions were heard from Lynn Pingry, 3205 Croft Drive, Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Wojtas,
3600 - 33rd Avenue. Also some comments were given by Stan Horowicki, 3217
Croft Drive. Dr. Emond asked Mr. Walbon if they planned to continue business
at this location and he said yes. Mrs. Kronk asked if a permit was granted,
what assurance would the people have that the work would be completed as
called for in the plans. A $5000.00 Bond to cover same to be posted by the
Walbon Company. The matter was referred back to the Village Council.
B. Albert Villella made his request for rezoning of property at 3913
Fordham Drive and after hearing those that were not in favor of a change in
zoning said he would drop his request and proceed with the land as zoned.
5. Ordinance Variations
A. Sandy's request to remove 4X8 section of existing pylon sign and
replace it with an attraction sign was granted. Upon motion by Mesenbring,
seconded by Englund it was moved that the request be granted. The motion
carried.
B. Quality Homes, Inc. request for permission to leave two 4X8 billboard
signs at 37th and Silver Lake Road was not approved. Upon motion by Englund
seconded by Mesenbring it was moved that the request not be approved. The
motion carried.

8. Building Permits
Mr. Winters of Ogdahl Inc. presented plans for a 12 unit apartment building
to be built at 3721 Chandler Drive. Upon motion by Katterheinrich seconded
by Dr. Emond it was moved that the plans for a 12 unit apartment at 3721
Chandler Drive be approved, and to recommend the Ccuncil to approve the plans.
The Motion Carried.
9. A proposal from Midwest Planning and Research was received.
10. Chairman Howitz declared the meeting adjourned.
