PLANNING BOARD MINUTES
September 200 1966
1., Call to Order
The regular meeting was called to order at 7:32 PA. by Chairman Howitz,
on Tuesday September 20, 1966.
2. The following members were present at roll call :
Robert Mesenbring, Donald Kronk, Duane Miedtke, Louis Howitz, Curtis Englund,
Fred Katterheinrich
Absent:
Dr. Thomas Emond
also present was Norbert Maher and Harry Lekson
3. Minutes
The Minutes of the regular meeting of August 16, 1966' were approved as
submitted.
4. Pub 1 i c Hearings
None
5. Ordinance Variations
The Board considered the request of Mr. Albert Villella for a variation in
width of Tract B, lot 40 block 4, Mounds View Acres, 2nd Addition.
After discussion of variation on tract B it was recommended that same be
made 70.23 ft. wide and tract C be made 70 ft, wide by 130 ft. long. This was
agreed on by Mr. Villella.
Upon motion by Englund, seconded by Miedtke it was moved to recommend to
the Village Council to approve these changes.
Motion Carried.
6. Zoning Variation
None
7. Old Business
Mr. Hermundslie of Medtronics discussed a revised approach to Highway ##8.
Upon motion by Kronk, seconded by Englund., it was moved to recommend the Council
• to approve plans to be presented at next meeting on September 27, 1966. Curtis
Englund to represent the Planning Board at this meeting.
Motion Carried.

2_8. Building Permits
Y. A. Korsunsky presented final plans for Nursing Home at 37th and Foss Road.
Upon motion by Miedtke seconded by Mesenbring, it was moved to recommend the
Council to approve said plans with the provision that no drainage problem
will exist.
The Motion Carried.
9. Miscellaneous .
A. The planning board discussed the sign request for Radio Shack to be locat
ed in Apache Plaza. The 4X20 ft. sign.to be placed between Montgomery Ward and
Waldorf Cleaners signs.
Upon motion by Miedtke, seconded by Kronk, it was moved to recommend to the
Council to approve said sign.
The Motion Carried.
B. The planning board also discussed the sign request of Fabricmasters, Inc.
located in the basement of the Bowling Lanes at 2654 Kenzie Terrace. This sign
is 3X18 ft.- and is to be placed on roof of building above front entrance.
Upon motion by Katterheinrich, seconded by Englund, it was moved to recommenc:
the Council to approve this sign.
The Motion Carried.
10. Adjournment
Upon motion by Katterheinrich, seconded by Englund, it was moved to adjourn.
The Motion Carried.
