Childs, City Manager 1�� I TEM : ROBERT OSTERBAUER, 2525-33RD AVENUE N.E. , REQUEST FOR A ZONING CLASSIFICATION CHANGE I believe that this rezoning request is a result of questions raised to Dr. Osterbauer at the timeof renewal of. his property insurance policies for 2525 - 33rd Avenue N.E. Because the land is zoned R-1 and the use is, therefore, a legal non-conforming use, the question about rebuilding if the building is destroyed by fire, etc. is of great concern to the owners and the insurance company. Page 17 of the Zoning Ordinance gives a list of the uses permitted' and conditionally permitted in a B (service/office limited business) zone. The City's comprehensive plan shows this location as service/office. No calls have been received either for or against the proposal. Having this matter resolved at this time could allow for a more prompt return to normal operation should this problem ever occur. We have been at this location for thirty years and take pride in the condition of our building and grounds . We do not expect that the zone change would be detrimental to the neighborhood; instead, we feel this would be a positive change for the neighborhood by insuring the continuity of the neighborhood dentist. Childs, City Manager \ 31,17 EM : CONDITIONAL USE AMENDMENT-MICHAEL BONAVENTURA (BONG'S MALT SHOP The City's ordinances allow a total of only 106 amusement devices in St. Anthonyy the conditional use permit issued to Michael Bonaventura allows him 34 licenses, which he currently has at the Malt Shop/Arca- de. From time to time, some license holders do not renew their license and there are presently several available. Mr. Bonaventura requests that the number of licenses allowed at his location be increased to 45. It should be noted that he is the only arcade operator in St. Anthony with a conditional - use permit which limits his licenses. Since his • increases would be counterbalanced by decreases at other locations, there appears to be no major objection to this requested change. • :CJK9. 20.88 • CITY OF ST.
