VILLAGE OF ST. ANTHONY
COUNCIL MINUTES
July 27, 1965
1. CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the St. Anthony, Village Council was called to
order by Mayor McNulty at 8:00 O.M. on Tuesday, July 27, 1965.
2. ROLL CALL
The following members were present u+t roll call :
W. R. Dougherty
George Erickson
_.James McNulty
Richard Sorenson
Robert Bailey (in at 8:12 p.m.)
None were absent
Also present were the Village Manager, Village Attorney, and Public
Works Superintendent.
3. MINUTES
• Upon motion by Councilman Dougherty, seconded by Councilman Erickson,
it was moved to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of July 13, 1965
as submitted.
The motion carried unanimously.
4. PUBLIC HEARINGS

5. RESOLUTIONS & ORDINANCES
None
6. COMMUNICATIONS, PETITIONS & REPORTS
Upon order of Mayor McNulty, the request from Samuel Wertheimer, Attorney,
to have the Village Council lower the insurance coverage requirements on
taxi cab licenses was deferred to August 10, 1965.
Upon motion by Councilman Sorenson, seconded by Councilman Erickson, it
was moved to grant permission to the St. Anthony Village Jaycees to hold
their annual Fall Festival at Central- Park providing the dance is
properly supervised by Police and that any parade route be approved by
the Police Department.

Upon order of Mayor McNulty, the report of Police Activity for the month
of June, 1965, was received and filed.
/After discussion w ywith the Vi11ag a Attorney, it was determined that no
action was necessary on the request of Dr. Osterbauer to utilize the lower
level of his building at 2525 - 33rd Avenue N.E. for commercial purposes.
Upon motion by Councilman Erickson, seconded by Councilman Dougherty, it
was moved to grant the variances requested by H. C. Northfield, Jr. on
lot 19, block 3, St. Anthony Terrace Manor Addition of 4 feet on the
rear yard requirement and 1 foot on the front yard requirement.
The motion carried unanimously.
Upon order of Mayor McNulty, the minutes of the Planning Board meeting
of July 20, 1965 were received and filed:
Upon order of Mayor McNulty, the report of the Village financial condition
for the month of June, 1965, was received and filed.
7. OLD BUSINESS
Upon motion by Mayor McNuit.y, seconded by Councilman Dougherty, it was
moved to instruct the Village Manager to proceed with the application for
Federal Disaster Aid under Public Law 875 and to accept any funds
available for use by St. Anthony Village.

8. MISCELLANEOUS
Upon order of Mayor McNulty, the request by Max Saliterman to pave
Coolidge Street lying north of Lowry Avenue was deferred to August 10, 1965.
Upon order of Mayor McNulty, the request of Robert McKay to establish a
Teen Center in the tower level of the St. Anthony Lanes was deferred to
August 24, 1965.
9, VERIFIED CLAIMS
Upon motion by Councilman Sorenson, seconded by Councilman Bailey, it
was moved to authorize verified claims and approve payment thereof.
The motion carried unanimously.
10. CONTRACT PAYMENTS
Upon motion by Councilman Sorenson, seconded by Councilman Bailey, it was
moved to approve payment to Erickson, Popham, Haik and Schnobrick in the
amount of $458.50 for work not covered by the monthly retainer fee.
The motion carried unanimously.
Upon motion by Councilman Erickson, seconded by Councilman Bailey, it
was moved not to approve payment to Brauer and Associates until the
statements are more clearly itemized.
The motion carried unanimously.
11. FINAL PAYMENTS
None
12. ADJOURNMENT
Upon motion by Councilman Erickson, seconded by Councilman Dougherty, it
was moved to adjourn.
The motion carried unanimously.
