COUNCIL MINUTES
SPECIAL MEETING - September 6, 1966
A special meeting of the Village Council was called by the Mayor at 8:30 P.M.
Present:
O'Connor, Dougherty, Bailey, Sorenson
Absent:
Springer
Also present :
John Printon, Village Manager
Mr. Jasinski presented a request to the Council for participation in a Village
Junior Football program. Mr. Hamilton, Park and Recreation Board Chairman,
indicated the board favored such a program.
Upon motion by Councilman Sorenson seconded by Mayor O'Connor it was moved
that $250.00 be allocated for the Junior Football Program.
Motion Carried.
Upon motion by Councilman Sorenson seconded by Councilman Bailey it was
moved that a variance be granted for temporary signs for the September Fest
sponsored by the St. Anthony J. C.'s, the signs to to be located at the
elementary school site at 33rd and Silver Lake Road.
Motion Carried.
Upon motion by Councilman Bailey seconded by Councilman- Dougherty: it was mcved
that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion Carried.

Primary Election-September 13, 1966
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 11 :15 p.m., Tuesday, September
13, 1966.
Present :
O'Connor, Springer, Bailey, Sorenson
Absent:
Dougherty
Also present:
John Printon, Village Manager
The election return sheets were reviewed by the Canvas Board and found to be
in order.
• Councilman Sorenson moved and seconded by Councilman Bailey that the results
of the primary election as tabulated by the election judges be accepted and '�• .
tabulation of the ballots cast on the proposition of the adoption of Village
Ordinance No. 38A, the tabulation as follows:

#1, Hennepin County 119 122
#2, Hennepin County 199 131
#1, Ramsey County 83 47
be approved.
Voting on the motion:
Aye: O'Connor, Springer, Bailey, Sorenson
Nay: None
Absent not voting: Dougherty
Motion Carried.
Upon motion by Councilman Sorenson seconded by Councilman Springer it was movec,
that the meeting of the primary election Canvas Board be adjourned.
Motion Carried.
