VILLAGE OF ST. ANTHONY
COUNCIL MINUTES
November 5, 1968
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 10:00 o'clock pm.
Present: O'Connor, Dougherty, Springer, Emond, Crouse.
Absent: None
Also Present : Village Manager, John Printon.
A request for a street light at 2800-32nd Avenue N. E. was considered.
After review of the petition, Councilman Emond moved and seconded by Councilman
Crouse that a street light be approved at 2800-32nd Avenue N. E..
Motion carried.
The matter of police salaries and holidays was discussed. The Council instructed
the Village Manager that $730.00 per month base pay was the maximum salary that
would be considered for 1969 and that one extra holiday would also be considered,
raising the total to ten holidays per year. The matter of 120 day bank sick leave
was given approval. Local #49, Operating Engineers, request for a total of eleven
holidays, three weeks vacation after 5 years and 4 weeks vacation after ten years
was not approved.
• After discussion, Councilman Crouse introduced Resolution No. 68-057 and moved its
adoption.
RESOLUTION NO. 68-057
RESOLUTION DEFINING THE DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DIRECTOR OF
PUBLIC SAFETY.
The resolution was duly seconded by Mayor O 'Connor.
Voting on the resolution:
Ayes O'Connor, Dougherty, Springer, Emond, Crouse.
May: None.
Resolution declared adopted.
The Canvass of ballots cast for Village Councilman was as follows :

Robert W. Bailey 1,155 votes
Richard E. Levandowski 1,416 votes

2-Motion by Councilman Emond and seconded by Councilman Crouse that the tabulation of
votes for the office of Councilman be accepted as presented by the election judges.
Voting on the motion:
Aye: O'Connor, Dougherty, Springer, Emond, Crouse.
Nay: None.
Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Springer that the meeting
be adjourned.
Motion carried.
