VILLAGE OF ST. ANTHONY
COUNCIL MINUTES
September 15, 1970
The special meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 7:15 P.M.
The following were present at roll call : Crouse, Emond, Miedtke, Englund
Absent: Levandowski
Also present: Village Manager, John R. Printon
Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Englund that the first
reading of Ordinance 1970-12, An Ordinance Relating To And Regulating The
Manufacture, Storage, Handling, Use And Sale Of Explosives, be approved on first
reading, substituting the Village Manager and/or the Director of Public Safety
as the approving authority for permits.
Voting on the motion:
Aye: Miedtke, Crouse, Emond, Englund
• Nay: None
Absent not voting : Levandowski
Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Englund and seconded by Councilman Crouse that Ordinance
1970-13, An Ordinance Relating To Hoax Telephone Calls and Bomb Threats, be
approved on first reading.
Voting on the motion;
Aye: Miedtke, Crouse, Emond, Englund
Nay: None
Absent not voting: Levandowski
Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Englund and seconded by Mayor Miedtke that the developers
of Equinox Apartments be requested to construct a berm on the East side of the
exit to Silver Lane not to exceed 5' in height.
Notion carried.
The Council reviewed with department heads the proposed 1971 Budget for their
respective departments.

Account #422-32, Signs less $500.00
Account #80-36, Maintenance & Repair plus $5,000.00
Review Account #475-52 as to additional furniture needs.
Account #475-12C, plus $500.00
Councilman Levandowski joined the meeting at 8:00 P.M.
The Police and Fire department budgets were to be combined to project the
organizational costs of the Department of Public Safety.
Recreation Director Ronald Buhrt was scheduled to appear at the joint Council
School Board meeting of September 23, 1970 at 8:00 P.M.
Motion by Councilman Englund and seconded by Councilman Crouse the meeting be
adjourned.
Motion carried.
