VILLAGE OF ST. ANTHONY
COUNCIL MINUTES
November 3, 1970
The Board of Canvas was called to order by the Mayor at 10:30 P.M.
The following were present at roll call : Miedtke, Crouse, Emond, Levandowski ,
Englund.
Also present : Village Manager, John R. Printon
Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Emond that the following
report of the election judges, Hennepin County voting districts #1 and #2 and
Ramsey County voting district #1, for the filling of two council seats be approved.

Robert L. Crouse 897 votes
Dr. Thomas J. Emond 837 votes
Paul Loeffler 1125 votes-
J.J. McCarty 318 votes
Robert Sundland 905 votes--
R.L. Vorpahl 902 votes

Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Englund and seconded by Councilman Levandowski that the plan
for the remodeling of the Standard Oil Station at 37th Avenue N.E. and Silver
Lake Road be approved as recommended by the Planning Board.
Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Emond that the Village
Attorney be directed to negotiate the 1969-2% insurance tax rebate with the
former Volunteer Fire Department that is due and payable to the Village in the
amount of approximately $4,200.00. Two-twelfths (2/12 ) to be the former
Volunteer Firemen's share and ten-twelfths (10/12 ) to be the Village share. '
Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Englund the meeting be
adjourned.
Motion carried.
