A RESOLUTION INSTRUCTING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO SEEK FEDERAL AID FOR
• EMERGENCY FLOOD CONTROL IMPROVEMENTS: AND AUTHORIZING THE MANAGER TO
EXECUTE THE NECESSARY FORM THEREFOR
WHEREAS, the Village of St. Anthony has been contacted by the
Hennepin County Civil Defense Office and the Bureau of Public Roads through
District 5 of the Minnesota State Highway Department regarding damage
caused by storm water and winter run-off in St. Anthony Village; and
WHEREAS, the Village has prepared preliminary estimates and has
submitted them to the Bureau of Public Roads through District #5 of the
Minnesota State Highway Department; and
WHEREAS, under Public Law 875, the Village of St. Anthony may be
qualified to secure monies in the amount of half the necessary projects
for repair of flood control damage and construction of flood control projects.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Village of St. Anthony
Council instructs the Village Manager to seek federal aid under Public Law
875 for the projects outlined in the letter April 21 , 1965 to the Minnesota
State Highway Department, Maintenance District #5, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Village Manager be and is hereby
authorized to execute such forms as are necessary to the implementation of
this resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall in no way be
• construed to bend the Village of St. Anthony to accept any aid proferred
without further action by the Council to accept such aid.
