RESOLUTION RELATING TO ST. ANTHONY BOULEVARD FROM STINSON BOULEVARD TO
PROPOSED HIGHWAY 3511
UHEREAS the Village of St. Anthony has, by a resolution adopted
March 23, 1965, indicated it's willingness to assume responsibility for
maintenance of that portion of St. Anthony Boulevard within St. Anthony
Village subject to the conditions stated in Resolution No. 65-atR previously
adopted; and
WHEREAS, the Acquisition, Development & Improvement Committee of the
Board of Park Commissioners of Minneapolis made a recommendation which was
adopted by the Board at a regular meeting of the Board on April 7, 1965, that
the Minneapolis Board of Park Commissioners interpose no further objections
to a connection between Highway 3511 and St. Anthony Boulevard at a point east
of the Village limits, which action required the acceptance by the Village of
St. Anthony of the following conditions:
1 . Thit conveyance be made to the Village of St. Anthony by the
City of Minneapolis through it's Board of Park Commissioners of an easement
• for parkway purposes of a portion of St. Anthony Boulevard in the Village of
St. Anthony lying between Ridgeway Road and Stinson Boulevard.
2. That the area conveyed shall be restricted to use for parkway-
purposes only and commercial, industrial and truck traffic shall be prohibited
thereon.
3. That the area conveyed shall be maintained and operated by the
Village of St. Anthony which shall relieve the City of Minneapolis and it 's
Board of Park Commissioners from any and all expense and costs of such operation
and maintenance.
4. That the City of Minneapolis and it's Board of Park Commissioners
shall not, without their consent, be assessed for boulevard or other improve-
ments within the Village of St. Anthony.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Village of St. Anthony concur
in the above conditions as required by the Minneapolis Park Board resolution
of April 7, 1965.
