ANTHONY, MINNESOTA TO BE RAZED AND REMOVED GMW 7-9-65 cac r RESO UTIDAI /Vo. 66-- 044 RESOLUTION ORDERING CERTAIN BUILDINGS LOCATED AT 3323 STINSON BOULEVARD, ST. ANTHONY, MINNESOTA TO BE RAZED AND REMOVED WHEREAS, William F. Lemke, Bernyce G. Lemke, and Century Capita Corporation are the owners of certain buildings located at 3323 Stinson Boulevard, St. Anthony, Minnesota, on the below legally described property; and WHEREAS, those buildings are best described as greenhouses and a brick and stucco building with a display area, and other appurtenant and adjacent structures, except the residence located thereon; and WHEREAS, after the receipt of numerous complaints, the Council of the Village of St. Anthony ordered an inspection to be made of the above described premises, and a report thereof was submitted by James Shaughnessy, Building Inspector of the Village of St. Anthony, on the seventh (7th) day of July, 1965, which described the premises as half destroyed and in an extreme state of dis- repair and stated that they contain broken panes of glass and piles of glass and other debris, that rodents have been attracted to the area, that numerous fires have originated in the vicinity of said buildings, that they are unsightly, are abandoned, and that they violate existing zoning ordinances of the Village of St. Anthony; and • WHEREAS, the Council of the Village of St. Anthony finds that the above described buildings are physically damaged beyond repair; are dilapidated and in a state of extreme disrepair; are abandoned; constitute a hazard to public safety, a menace to public health, and a fire hazard; and do not conform to present zonin requirements of the Village of St. Anthony; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that William F. Lemke, Bernyce G. Lemke, and Century Capital Corporation shall be ordered to raze and remove the greenhouses and the brick and stucco buildings and all other appurtenant and adjacent structures, except the residence, located at 3323 Stinson Boulevard, St. Anthony, Minnesota, on the property legally described as follows: All of the West 12 rods of the South 40 rods of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 6, Township 29, Range 23, excepting however, there- from the South 228. 3 feet. Subject to the rights of the public over the West 33 feet and also over the North 30 feet thereof for Street Purposes. The Northwest 1/4 of Section 6, Township 29, Range 23, described as: Commencing at a point in the South line of said subdivision, 12 rods East along said line from the Southwest corner thereof; thence North on a line parallel to the West line of said subdivision • a distance of 40 rods; thence West parallel to the South line of said subdivision, 7. 03 feet to the Southeast corner of Lemke's Addition, thence North along the East line of said Addition to the Northeast corner of said Addition; thence East parallel with the North line of said quarter section, 376. 03 feet to the West line of Clark and King's Garden Tracts; thence South along the West line of said Plat 1, 433. 62 feet to the South line of said subdivision; thence West along said latter line, 369 feet to the place of beginning. Except that part thereof • embraced in Lemke's Second Addition and also except that part thereof embraced in Tract A, Registered Land Survey No. 196, Files of Registrar of Titles, Hennepin County, Minnesota. This action is taken pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Annotated 5462. 39-- 462. 401 on the grounds that said buildings are hazardous buildings within the meaning of that statute.
