• RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING POLICY FOR ISSUANCE OF NEIGHBORHOOD STREET DANCE
PERMITS
WHEREAS the Village Council of the Village of St. Anthony has
determined that a permit should be required forall dances held in public
places, according to Minnesota Statutes 617.44, and;
WHEREAS the Minnesota Statutes 617.44 is not specific with regard
to neighborhood street dances;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Village Council of the Village
of St. Anthony hereby establishes the following policy for the issuance of
permits for neighborhood street dances:
Neighborhood street dances shall mean those dances held on a public
street whose participants are restricted to only those persons in the im-
mediate neighborhood. No such dance shall be held without first obtaining a
permit from the Village Manager.
A permit may be secured by submitting a written request to the
VillageManager no later than seven (7) days prior to the proposed dance. A
permit will be issued only upon approval of the Village Manager, Chief of
Police, and Kni ntenance Department. Each dance must be provided with police
supervision.
