RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HENNEPIN COUNTY
ENGINEER TO INCLUDE THE IMPROVEMENT OF
KENZIE TERRACE IN ITS STOP GAP SAFETY
CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of St. Anthony is desirous
of providing a safe pedestrian and vehicular thoroughfare on Kenzie Terrace,
and
WHEREAS, traffic counts taken have indicated that trafFic is far in excess
of the minimum requirements for the construction of a four lane thoroughfare,
and
WHEREAS, increased traffic is anticipated as the various highway feeder
systems are completed in the Northeast Metropolitan area, and,
WHEREAS, the Village Council is of the opinion that an extremely hazardous
traffic condition exists that requires as early a scheduling of construction
as is possible, and
• 141EREAS, funds are available through the assessment of benefited property
owners for the Village share of Hennepin County's Division of Cost Formula,
MOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Hennepin County Engineer be requ-
ested to talo what ever steps as are necessary to provide for as early a
construction date as is possible for the four lane construction of Kenzie
Terrace, to include pedestrian sidewalk on one side.
