HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC RES 66-071 RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENTS FOR 1965 IMPROVEMENTS STREET 7417-65-1, UTILITY 7419-65-1 Meeting Sheet I IIIIII VIII VIII VIII VIII VIII IIII IIII iosiss Box: 34 Folder: CC RES 1966 Document: CC RES 66-071 RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENTS FOR 1965 IMPROVEMENTS STREET 7417-65-1, UTILITY 7419-65-1 RESOLUTION NO. 66-071 RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENTS FOR 1965 IMPROVEMENTS STREET 7417-65-1, UTILITY 7419-65-1 WHEREAS, the Village Council, following the giving of mailed and published notice as required by law, has met and heard all persons owning land to be assessed for the cost of Street Improvement 7417-65-1 and Utility Relocation 7419-65-1; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the proposed assessments for Improvements 7417-65-1 and 7419-65-1, as shown by the assessment role on file against the lands named thereon, and that each such parcel of land is hereby found to be benefited by the porposed improvement in the amount of the assess- ment hereby levied against it. 2. Such assessments shall be payable in ten equal annual install- ments, the first to be payable on or before the first Monday in January, 1967. The assessments shall bear interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the date of the adoption of this resolution. To the first installment payment, there stall be added interest on the entire assessment from the date of this resol- ution until December 31, 1966. To each subsequent annual installment, there shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid installments. 3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the assessment to the county auditor, pay the whole of the assessment on such property, with interest accrued to the date of payment, to the Village treasurer, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of this resolution; and he may, at any time thereafter, pay to the county treasurer the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to December 31, of the year in which such payment is made. 4. ThP Clerk shall transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the county auditor to be extended on the proper tax lists of the county, and such assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes.
