RESOLUTION OPPOSING FARE INCREASES AND APPROVING
REQUEST FOR LINE EXTENSION,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of St. Anthony
that the request of Twin City Rapid Transit Company for a zone rate increase
be opposed as a discremnatory act against transit passengers outside the
corporate limits of the City of Minneapolis, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the request to raise student fares be
judged as an attempt to further place the burden of wage settlements on a
segment of the population as evidenced by the age ratio of the City of
Minneapolis versus the suburban metropolitan area, and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the request of Twin City Rapid Transit
Company to extend its route on Stinson Bou ward from 33rd Avenue N.E. to
37th Avenue N.E. be approved.
