A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT PER AGREEMENT OF
COLUMBIA HEIGHTS SHARE OF THE COUNTY DITCH #3 IMP-
ROVEMENT
14HERFAS pursuant to an agreement with the Village of New Brighton and
the County of Ramsey that in the event of default of payment by the cities of
Minneapolis and Columbia Heights in the payment of a proportionate share of
the cost of the 7mnrovem�nt of Ramsey County Ditch #3, that said share would
be paid by the Village of Haw Brinhton and St. Anthony in the same proportion
as outlined in said agreerre.nt, and
trk!FREAS the City Council of Columbia Heights has indicated a rel-
uctance to pnrticipate in the improvement due to lack of information as
to assessment proz3dure and design criteria, and
!•hIEREAS, the necessary information has been ordered forwarded to
the City of Columbia Heights by the Ramsey County Engineer under whose direct-
tion the project is being constructed,
N(X4 THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the St. Anthony Village Council
does authorize the payment of its proportionate share of the Columbia Heights
assessment for the improvement of Ramsey County Ditch #3, per agreement, and
• BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that every effort be made to supply the
Columbia Heights City Council with the necessary information so that the
matter of benefits can be thoroughly evaluated.
