RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENTS FOR STREET
IMPROVEMENT 1968-1, STREET IMPROVEMENT 1968-
2, STREET IMPROVEMENT 1968-5, STORM SEVIER
IMPROVEMENT COUNTY DITCH #2, #3•
Pursuant to mailed and published notice as required by law, the Council
has met, heard, and considered all objections to the proposed assessments for the
following improvements:
Street 1968-1,
Street 1968-2,
Street 1968-5,
Storm Sewer County Ditch 2, 3.
The location of the several improvements are fully described in the notice of the
hearings on the assessments.
NMI THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the proposed assessments, copies of
which are attached and made a part of this resolution by reference, be and are
hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessments against the lands
described therein and each proposed improvement in the amount of the assessments
levied against it. The terms of payment of the assessments, the period of years
and number of annual payments, are specified in the attached assessment rolls.
The first of the annual installments is to be payable on or before the first Monday
in January, 1969, and the unpaid principal amount shall bear interest at the rate
of 6% per annum from the date of the adoption of this assessment resolution. To
• the first installment shall be added interest on the entire assessment for each
improvement for the period from the date of this resolution until December 31, 1968.
To each subsequent annual installment when due shall be added interest for one
year on all unpaid installments.
The owner of any property may at any time prior to certification of the
assessment to the county auditor, pay the whole of the assessment on such property
with interest accrued to the date of payment to the Village Treasurer, except
that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within 30 days
from the adoption of this resolution; and the owner may at any time thereafter
pay to the county treasurer the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid
with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which such payment is made.
The clerk shall transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the
county auditor to be extended on the tax lists of the county and such assessments
shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes.
