A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE CREATION OF
A METROPOLITAN ZOO,
WHEREAS the Zoo Advisory Committee to the Metropolitan Council has
rade proposals for a new major metropolitan zoo; and
WHEREAS these proposals will greatly benefit the people of our area
by providing a facility for the study and preservation of animal species, as
well as a place for family-centered recreation; and
WHEREAS the zoo would be of benefit to area citizens and businesses
and a major attraction for tourists,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Village of St.
Anthony goes on record in support of this project and urges the State Legislature
to implement these plans in the coming legislative session.
