RESOLUTION NO. 69-009
A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE VILLAGE MANAGER
TO ORGANIZE A FULL TIME FIRE DEPARTMENT
RATIFYING THE COUNCIL ACTION OF JANUARY 15,
1969, AND ALL ACTIONS TAKEN THEREUNDER.
l•!HE-\EAS, the St. Anthony Village Council has received correspon-
dence dated January 14, 1969 from Mr. Dallas Gates, President of the St.
Anthony Fire Department, outlining four points under which the Volunteer
Department would resume providing fire protection for the Village, and
UgIE"NEAS, the Village Council finds the stipulations as outlined
in said letter unacceptable, and
`.111E`,EAS, the Village Council is charged with the responsibility
of providing adequate fire protection for residents and businesses located
in St. Anthony Village,
NOIJ THEREFORE RE IT RESOLVED that the Village Manager be directed
to organize a full time Fire Department as soon as is possible and provide
a table of organization and cost estimates to the 1'ouncil , said department
• to he funded by unallocated surplus liquor store revenue, and that all
action taken by the Council at a special meeting on January 15, 1969 is here-
by ratified, and further that all actions taken by the manager and other
employees as a result of the special meeting of January 15, 1969 are hereby
ratified.
