A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT THE DEPARTME,
REVENUE INCREASE THE CITY OF ST. ANTHO%1 EVY
LIMIT BASE PER CAPITA TO 85 PERCENT 0 r
HENNEPIN COUNTY AVERAGE AND LIMI IN AMOUNT
OF THE PROPERTY TAX LEVY IN R F T 1980
EUDGET.
Whereas , the City Council of the City of St. Anthony feels
that an increase in the levy limit base is necessary to provide
flexibility to maintain service levels .
Whereas , the City may not have to actually levy , in property
taxes payable, all of the increase in the levy limit base .
Whereas , the City Council reasonably has determined that , if
part of the increase in the levy limit base is levied, the net
impact on property taxpayers is negligible due to changes in pro-
perty tax laws and due to an increase in State Aid to Local Govern-
ment.
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the City Council of the
City of St. Anthony does hereby request that the Department of
Revenue increase the City' s levy limit base by $44 , 381 , which is
the difference between the present per capita levy limit base and
• 85 percent of the per capita of Hennepin County levy limit base
times the City' s Hennepin County population.
Be It Further Resolved that the City Manager is hereby directed
to submit to the City Council a proposed 1980 City budget which
provides for not more than an X percent* increase in the total
property tax levy for taxes pay a le n 1980 .

A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR WATER LINE
Be It Resolved by the City Council of the City of St. Anthony
that the proposal made by Arcon Construction Company, Inc . to con-
struct a six inch water line under Highway 8, near County Road C,
be accepted, and
Whereas, this was not a 1979 budgeted item, the following
appropriation is necessary:
