A RESOLUTION RELATING TO EMERGENCY
VEHICLE PREEMPTION
WHEREAS, Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. (SEH) has reviewed the 8 signalized
intersections of the City of st. Anthony that do not have Emergency Vehicle
Preemption (EVP) capabilities; and
WHEREAS, the intersections are as follows:
• Silver Lake Road at 39" Avenue NE
• Silver Lake Road at 37`'' Avenue NE
• Silver Lake Road at 33`d Avenue NE
• New Brighton Boulevard (88) at 29`' Avenue NE
• Silver Lake Road/Kenzie Terrace at St. Anthony Boulevard
• New Brighton Boulevard (88) at St. Anthony Boulevard
• Kenzie Terrace at Kenzington Apartments/Autumn Woods Apartments
• Kenzie Terrace/Lowry Avenue at Stinson Parkway (eliminated - see SEH
letter attached)
• WHEREAS, cost for the installation of the above at the 7 intersections is estimated at
$81,000 with exceptions noted on the attached spread sheet submitted by SEH.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony
hereby authorizes SEH, Inc. to prepare plans and specifications for each EVP system as stated
above, and to advertise the project for bids.
