A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SIDE YARD VARIANCE
FOR 2835 ROOSEVELT STREET
WHEREAS, Maynard and Elizabeth Shaw have requested a side yard variance of 11 feet for
construction of a detached two-car garage on their property at 2835 Roosevelt Street;
and
WHEREAS, The St. Anthony Planning Considered said request at their August 21, 2001 meeting;
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission unanimously recommended the St. Anthony City Council
approve said request for the following reasons:
1. undue hardship is created due to the three sides of the property being bordered
by streets;
• 2. street parking is very restrictive;
3. petitioners have indicated their request will not alter the architectural essence of
the neighborhood.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony hereby
approves an 11 foot side yard variance for 2835 Roosevelt Street for construction of a detached two-
car garage.
