RESOLUTION 03-016
• A RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID
WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the Council adopted May 28`h,2002,a report was prepared by
WSB&Associates,Inc.to evaluate the City of St.Anthony's Water Supply and Sanitary
Sewer System Infrastructure,
WHEREAS, the report recommended the:
1. Replacement of trunk Sanitary Sewer main from 27`h Avenue South to the City of
Minneapolis.
2. Construction of a new 10-inch water main loop along Kenzie Terrace South
of St.Anthony Boulevard.
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary,cost
effective,and feasible.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St.Anthony that:
1) The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with the report at an
estimated total cost of the improvement of S 1,050,000.
2) WSB&Associates,Inc.is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement, and is directed to
prepare plans,specifications and bid documents for making such improvements.
• 3) The consulting engineering firm shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the
Construction Bulletin,an advertisement for bids.The advertisement shall be published for two items,
shall specify the work to be done,shall state that bids will be opened on April 10,2003 and bids the
responsibility for bidders will be considered by the City Council at 7:00 P.M.on April 22,2003 in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall. Any bidders whose responsibility is questioned during
consideration of the bid will be given the opportunity to address the Council on the issue of
responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by
a cash deposit,cashier's check,bid bond or certified check payable to the City of St.Anthony for
Five(5%)percent of the amount of such bid.
