ANTHONY VILLAGE RESOLUTION 03 - 101 A RESOLUTION APPROVING FULL TIME PUBLIC WORKS AND FIRE UNION EMPLOYEES AND NON-UNION CITY EMPLOYEES SALARY AND BENEFIT PACKAGES FOR 2004 AND 2005 WHEREAS, full time employees of two employee unions of the City of St. Anthony, Fire and Public Works,have agreed to the following salary and benefit packages proposed for January 1, 2004 through December 31, 2005: 2004 2005 Salary 1.5% 2% Health insurance $30.00 $30.00 WHEREAS, full time, non-union employees of the City of St. Anthony will receive the same salary and benefit packages as were agreed to by union members and as stated • above for 2004 and 2005; and WHEREAS, there will be a cap on personal leave for new hires after January 1, 2004 of 1,200 hours; and WHEREAS, any compensatory time remaining to all full time employees of the Fire union and non-union employees, will be paid out prior to December 31, 2003 and, with the exception of the Public Works union employees, no compensatory time will be allowed thereafter. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony hereby approves the salary and benefit packages as listed above for full time employees of the Fire and Public Works unions and all full time non-union employees for January 1, 2004 through December 31, 2005. Reviewed for Administration: City Manager • MEMORANDUM DATE: December 2, 2003 TO: Mayor and Councilmembers FROM: Michael Mornson,City Manager SUBJECT: UNION AND NON-UNION SETTLEMENTS I have come to agreements with two bargaining units for 2004 and 2005.The two bargaining units are Fire and Public Works and represent 16 full time employees. Due to scheduling difficulties,I have not had an opportunity to negotiate with the Police.That contract will be negotiated in 2004. A summary of the agreements is as follows: Salary 2004 1.5% 2005 2.0% Health insurance-family 2004 $30.00 2005 $30.00 Cap on personnel leave for new hires after January 1, 2004 is 1,200 hours. Comp time will be paid prior to December 31, 2003 for Fire union and all non-union employees. No comp time will be allowed, except as specified in the Public Works contract on a limited basis or the time is used in the year it is earned. The total number of non-union employees is 22. The resolution presented provides the same salary and benefit package to all full time non-union employees for 2004 and 2005.
