ANTHONY VILLAGE RESOLUTION 04 - 024 A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID FOR GENERAL CONSTRUCTION, MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL, FOR A NEW FIRE STATION WHEREAS, on October 14, 2003, the St. Anthony City Council considered a bid package for construction of a new fire station facility, deemed the bid package over budget, and called for a re-bid on said project; and WHEREAS, said project was re-bid and bids were opened on February 24, 2004; and WHEREAS, City staff and Kraus-Anderson Construction Company reviewed said bids. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony hereby awards the bid package for a new St. Anthony Fire Station facility, as recommended in • the March 2, 2004 letter from Kraus-Anderson(attached) in the amount of$1,083,599.00 for BP- 2 Bid Division Nos. 1-24 (excluding bid Nos. 13 and 21). This total is $6,000.00 below our approved budget amount. Also, we received bids for two other add Alternates that were not accepted due to the budget constraints. They are as follows: 1) Add Alternate No. 2-Vehicle Exhaust System for the sum of $34,831.00 and 2) Add Alternate No.4-Cast Stone Band in lieu of the Brick Soldier Course for the sum of$12,000.00.
