A RESOLUTION APPROVING A FRONT YARD SETBACK
VARIANCE FOR PROPERTY ADDRESSED 2800—34TH AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the St. Anthony Planning Commission held a public hearing on July 20, 2004,
regarding a front yard setback variance request for 2800—34`h Avenue NE; and
BE IT RESOLVED, the Planning Commission recommended Council approve request by Rod Rabine,
because the applicant did not cause the hardship. The request for a handicapped
accessible ramp is a reasonable request. The building codes are over thirty years
old and were not as strict as they are today. The addition won't affect the locality
around their home. Economic consideration is not the basis alone of this
hardship. Granting of the variance is keeping with the spirit and intent of the
zoning code.
