ANTHONY RESOLUTION 06-035 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE FOSS ROAD LIFT STATION FEASIBILITY REPORT AND ORDERING PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the Council adopted October 25, 2005 a report was prepared by WSB &Associates, Inc. with reference to the improvement of: 1. Sanitary Sewer in 39th Avenue from Silver Lake Road to Foss Road 2. Foss Lift Station 3. Foss Road Lift Station forcemain from the Lift Station to Roseville WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary, cost effective, and feasible. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Anthony that: 1) The Council will consider the improvements to the Foss Road Lift Station, sanitary sewer • and forcemain in accordance with the report at an estimated total cost of the improvement of$1,865,000. 2) WSB &Associates, Inc. is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement. They shall prepare plans for making such improvement. 3) The consulting engineering firm shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvements under such plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for two times, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be opened in July 2006 and bids may be considered by the City Council at 7:00 p.m. on July 25, 2006 in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City of St. Anthony for Five (5%)percent of the amount of such bid.
