A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE SANITARY SEWER INFILTRATION AND
INFLOW REDUCTION PLAN
WHEREAS, Metropolitan Council Environmental Services has identified the City of St.
Anthony Village as having excessive inflow and infiltration of clear water into
the sanitary sewer system,
WHEREAS, the MCES is proposing to surcharge the City of St.Anthony Village
approximately$120,000 annually for the next 10 years to address I/I into the
sanitary sewer system,
WHEREAS, The City of St. Anthony desires to reduce inflow and infiltration into the sanitary
sewer system and avoid MCES surcharge fees,
NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,by the City Council of the City of St.Anthony that:
• 1) The City adopts the Sanitary Sewer Infiltration and Inflow Reduction Plan as prepared for the
City of St. Anthony Village by WSB &Associates..
2) City ordinances be revised to allow for the inspection of all homes relating to illegal sanitary
sewer connections and establish fines and procedures for non compliance.
