RESOLUTION NO. 06-043
A RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT TO DEVELOP, CONSTRUCT,AND OPERATE THE
SILVERWOOD PARK REGIONAL SPECIAL RECREATION FEATURE PURSUANT
TO THE THREE RIVERS PARK DISTRICT MASTER PLAN.
WHEREAS, The City of St. Anthony recognizes Silverwood Park is identified in the
Metropolitan Council's 2030 Regional Parks Policy Plan as a proposed special recreation
feature; and
WHEREAS, The City of St. Anthony has participated fully as a member of the Master Planning
Group whose work serves as the basis for the Silverwood Park Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, The City of St. Anthony recognizes that Three Rivers Park District has conducted
numerous public meetings and gathered public input in the development of a master plan for
Silverwood Park; and
WHEREAS,The City of St. Anthony recognizes that Three Rivers Park District has developed a
Master Plan for the Development and Operation of Silverwood Park; and
WHEREAS, The City of St. Anthony supports the development of Silverwood Park as a
regional special recreation feature pursuant to the Three Rivers Park District Master Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of St. Anthony supports the
Silverwood Park Master Plan and hereby recommends that the Three Rivers Park District
expedite the development of a regional special recreation feature within the conditions and
guidelines delineated by the District's Board of Commissioners in the Master Plan.
