RESOLUTION 07-052
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION
OF PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS,AND ADVERTISING FOR BIDS
FOR UTILITY CONNECTIONS ALONG SILVER LAKE ROAD
WHEREAS, Hennepin County has proposed to improve Silver Lake Road from St. Anthony
Boulevard N.E. to 37th Avenue N.E. within the City of St. Anthony.
WHEREAS, for roadway and public utility improvements to occur in 2008, it is desirable to
relocate private utilities in 2007 to reduce potential for private utility conflicts during
the proposed construction work.
WHEREAS, all private utility relocation shall include moving existing overhead utilities
underground within the Silver Lake Road right-of-way and connecting to individual
residences.
WHEREAS, connection of underground electrical services to individual residences requires a new
electrical meter box, which extends beyond the scope of work to be performed by
Excel Energy.
• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Anthony that:
WSB & Associates, Inc. is hereby designated as the engineer for performing the design and contract
execution for the installation of new meter boxes and underground electrical connections to
residences along Silver Lake Road, and that they shall prepare plans, specifications, and create all
contract documents for performing the work.
