RESOLUTION 07-058
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT RELATING TO A
COMBINED TACTICAL TEAM WITH THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE AND CITY OF NEW
BRIGHTON WHICH WILL BE KNOW AS EAST METRO SWAT TEAM AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF
THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the City Council of St. Anthony Village approved a joint powers
agreement for a combined tactical team with the City of Roseville in June
1992; and
WHEREAS, the City of New Brighton's Police Department was invited to join and
accepted which will make the team more viable in the community; and
WHEREAS, through staff's education regarding joint powers agreements we are
renaming the agreement a mutual aid agreement; and
• WHEREAS, the new combined tactical team will be known as East Metro Swat Team.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony
Village approve a Mutual Aid Agreement relating to a Combined Tactical team with the
City of Roseville and the City of New Brighton which will be known as East Metro Swat
and authorizing the Mayor to execute the agreement on behalf of the City of St.
Anthony Village
