A RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMISSION TO THE ST.ANTHONY—NEW
BRIGHTON SCHOOL DISTRICT #282 TO EXPAND, IMPROVE AND MODIFY THE
EXISTING SERVICE ROAD BETWEEN WATER TOWER PARK AND THE ST.
ANTHONY MIDDLE SCHOOL TO ACCOMMODATE THE PLANNED
DEDICATED BUS DROP-OFF LOOP
WHEREAS, the St. Anthony—New Brighton #282 School District is currently in the
process of design and planning of their facility improvement projects for
2009: and
WHEREAS, the St.Anthony—New Brighton #282 School District is proposing improve safety
for students. Staff and other visitors by completely separating the bus drop-off area
from the parent drop-off loop which is currently located at the front (south side) of
building along 33`d Avenue;and
WHEREAS, the St. Anthony—New Brighton #282 School District is proposing the development
of a new dedicated bus loop on the existing service road located immediately to the
west of the St. Anthony Middle School;and
WHEREAS, the St. Anthony—New Brighton #282 School District met with St. Anthony staff
regarding their proposed new dedicated bus loop as this is a City-owned service road;
• and
WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony grants permission to the St.Anthony—New Brighton
School District#282 to expand, improve and modify the existing service road
between Water Tower Park and the St.Anthony Middle School to accommodate the
planned dedicated bus drop-off loop; and
WHEREAS, the St. Anthony-New Brighton School District#282 agrees to name the City of St.
Anthony an additional insured party on all construction phases and use of the road
when completed. Also, provide the City with appropriate insurance certificates.
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, the City of St. Anthony Village City Council grants permission
to the St. Anthony—New Brighton School District #282 to expand,improve and modify the
existing service road between Water Tower Park and the St. Anthony Middle School to
accommodate the planned dedicated bus drop-off 1 p.
