RESOLUTION 09-045
A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT RELATING TO
THE CHILD SEXUAL PREDATOR PROGRAM AGREEMENT #3000-1391 AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE THE SAID
AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the City Council of St. Anthony Village recognizes the current need for
police protection and law enforcement services in the area of Child Sexual
Predators; and
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota was awarded a Federal grant from the U.S.
Department of Justice for the purpose of investigative overtime
reimbursement, training and equipment; and
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota is in need of assistance from city and county law
enforcement agencies in investigating and combating the exploitation of
• children which occurs through the use of computers by providing funds
for equipment, training, and expenses, including travel and overtime
funding which are incurred by law enforcement as a result of such
investigation.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Anthony
Village hereby approves the Joint Powers Agreement relating to the Child Sexual
Predator Program Agreement #3000-1391 and authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to
execute said Agreement on behalf of the City of St. Anthony Village.
