A RESOLUTION AWARDING A BID FOR 2012 LED PEDESTRIAN SAFETY
IMPROVEMENTS AT 34" AVENUE AND SILVER LAKE ROAD PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to a request for bids for the improvement as shown on the plan for the above-
referenced project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the
following bids were received complying with the advertisement:
Contractor Total Bid
1 Killmer Electric Co., Inc. $26,592.50
2 Egan Company $28,210.00
3 Design Electric, Inc. $39,367.20
WHEREAS, it appears that Killmer Electric Co., Inc. of Crystal, MN is the lowest responsible
bidder.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, of the City Council of the City of St. Anthony:
1. That the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with
Killmer Electric Co., Inc. in the amount of$26,592.50 in the name of the City of St. Anthony,
Minnesota for the improvement outlined in the above-referenced project according to the plans
and specifications, therefore, approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City
Clerk.
2. That the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to purchase the Tapco
Crosswalk System in the amount of$27,958.99 from Tapco Traffic and Parking Control Co., Inc.
of Brown Deer, WI as per the attached quote.
Adopted this 24th day of July, 2012.
