COUNCIL AGELVDA
• FEBRUARY 12, 1974
1. Call to order
2. Roll Call
3. Council Minutes 1/22/74
4. Council Board Reports
a. Planning Board Minutes of 1-29-74 : Review
ACTION: File
5. Public Hearing
a. Vacation of portion of Anthony Lane South: Some months back the Council
indicated to Horizon Development Corporation that in conjunction with the
repla.tting of the Office Park we would vacate certain property. Horizon has
property petitioned for said vacation and the required notice, etc. has been
published.
ACTION: Recommend approval of resolution-Vacating Portion of Anthony Lane S.
6. Ordinances/Resolutions
a. Resolution #74-013 RESOLUTION VACATING A PORTION OF ANTHONY LANE SOUTH
(See above)
• 7. Old Business
a. St. Anthony Office Park final plat: The paper work involved in completing
this plat is rather complicated due to multi ownership and pending sales, etc.
but I believe everything will be in order by 2-12-74.
ACTION: Provided everything is in order, I would recommend approval.
b. SAC lawsuit: Attached is a considerable amount of material exp".aining
the present status of the suit which should be relriewed. The only two items
we need to take action on is the question of whether we join in appealing the
decision and whether we contribute to the costs on the basis of the formula
or on the basis of our pledge.
ACTION: Recommend we discuss and determine if we want to join appeal and
that we pay on basis of formula instead of pledge.
8. New Business
a. Discussion of donating 8 tra(,k tapes recovered by Police Department
to VA Hospital: The lone bidder vBio submitted a bid for the tapes decided
they didn't want the tapes. In my estimation we would get little if anything
for the tapes at our auction and therefore recommend we donate the tapes to
the VA Hospital.
ACTION: Recommend council authorize donation of tapes to VA Hospital.
. b. Appointment of Human Relations member. Councilman Haik has an appointment
f to make.
c. Discussion of Newsletter: We should determine approximately when the
Newsletter should go out and we need items to include in the Newsletter.
-2-
d. Award sewer rodder bid. The City only received one bid (attached) for
the sewer rodder. The bid is within the budget and meets all specifications.
ACTION: Recommend we award bid for sewer rodder to Flexible Pipe Tool Co.
who submitted_ the low bid of $5696.00.
9. Communications/Petitions
a. Letter from residents re: Animal Control: I have reviewed last years
animal control budget and it appears that if activity in that fund. (-.nntinues
at approximately the same level this year we have enough money bv:,,r;eted for
approximately 1 hour per week of general patroling in addition to our normal
calls. I would recommend that we begin the patrol immediately and if we
continue to have problems that we consider increasing the budget and expand
the patroling.
ACTION: Council
b. League of Minnesota Municipalities re: Office Location. Informational
c. League of Minnesota Municipalities re: Legislative Action Conference:
I would recommend that everyone who can attend the conference as it is a good
opportunity to become more familiar with sending legislation and to meet
legislators.
ACTION: I will send reservations in for those who can attend.
