9. Communications & Petitions
a. Petition for street lights in alley between 27th Avenue N.E. and Lowry
Grove Mobile Home Park. A representative of the petitioners will be present
to discuss their request. My recommendation would be that we not get into
a program of all.ey lighting. We haae very few residents who have alleys and
many of those who do have light&d themselves or in cooperation with neighbors.
Many of our residents in areas without alleys don't even have their streets
lighted and NSP recommends they should be. Our theft incidents don't appear
to be significantly higher in those areas with alleys either.
ACTION: Recommend denial of request.
