a. Resolution #74-022 A RESOLUTION MODIFYING THE 1974 BUDGET - This resolut-
ion is a routine bookkeeping procedure to transfer funds from accounts which
have excess funds into ones which are in the red.
7. Old Business
a. Final approval of Henkel's Addition. Everything appears to be in order
regarding the final plat.
ACTION: Recommend approval.
8. New Business
a. Appointment of tree inspector: A new state statute requires that the
Council appoint a tree inspector. We have three maintenance men who have
qualified for appointment.
ACTION: My recommendation is that we appoint Larry Hamer, Public Works Supt.
as City Tree Inspector
b. Discussion of appointment of Planning Commission member. The Council
should determine if they want to interview candidates again or appoint
someone from the last interview which was relatively recent.
ACTION: Recommend appointment as soon as possible as Planning Commission
has problems in the summer with attendance due to vacations, etc. In addition
their work load is quite heavy now.
c. Discussion of extension of bike path routes. Councilman Haik requested
that this item be on the agenda so we could discuss connecting our bike trails
with New Brighton and Minneapolis.
ACTION: Recommend we request Kiwanis Club to purchase additional signs and
that we extend the trail system.
