Vacation of Coolidge Street adjacent to Northgate Motel. As I stated earlier I see no reason to keep the right-of--way as long as we acquire easements for our utilities. ACTION: Recommend approval of resolution subject to receiving easements from recipients of property. 6. Ordinances & Resolutions a. Resolution 75-015. A RFSOLUTION HFGARDING OPPOSITION TO A PROPOSED RAMSFY COUNTY POLICF DFPARTMFNT. Chief Brown has requested we adopt the attached resolution which is identical to the one we reviewed at the • last meeting which was adopted by New Brighton. ACTION: Recommend we adopt as other communities in Ramsey County have to demonstrate our unity with others in opposition to the proposed bill. T. Old Business a. Twin City Federal Conditional Use Permit request. I have had no contact with TCF or anyone representing them since the meeting of 225. ACTION: Council b. Agreement with Salvation Army regarding use of Salvation Army Camp. I will have copies of the agreement which has undergone minor revisions since you last reviewed it at the meeting. Mr. James Browny Salvation Army Camp Director will be in attendance to discuss the agreement and a tentative proposal he has to add a children's farm to the camp. ACTION: Recommend approval of agreement so we can begin as early in the spring as possible to build nature trail. c. Approve specifications and authorize taking of bids for street sweeper. Attached you will find the proposed specifications. Following the acceptance of the bids and the award of the contract the staff will process the paper work for selling the certificates of indebtedness to pay for the sweeper. • ACTION: Approve specifications authorizing taking of bids. 8. New Business -2- 9. Communications & Petitions a. Student Council regarding Rock Concert. Representatives of the student council have requested to appear before the Council to request permission to have a rock concert in Central Park after school is out this spring. ACTION: Council 10. Reports-197+ Annual Police & Fire Report and January Police & Fire Report Please call if you have any questions. ACTION: File 10A. Reports-Mayor, Manager, Council a. NLC-USCM meeting Washington, D.C. Mayor and Manager will make verbal presentation. 11. Licenses ACTION: All verified, recommend approval. a.Time Recreation Center--St. Anthony Center. When licenses were granted to this firm the Council requested that the matter be considered separately when the licenses were up for renewal. There have been no complaints regarding the operation of the recreation center and I know of no reason to not renew the licenses. If you have further questions • please call before the meeting. ACTION: Recommend approval when we receive application. 12. Payments a. Constructive Design $2200.00 b. Dorsey Firm $2,973.48 ACTION: Payments have been verified, recommend approval. 13.
