6. Ordinances & Resolutions
a. Resolution regarding reducing speed limit of TH 8 from Medtronics to
Lowry to send to legislators. . .We have requested that the Minnesota High-
way Dept. reduce the speed in this area and as you can see from the
attached letter they plan to do little to help us. The only other way to
get it lowered is to get our legislators to put pressure on the highway
department. Therefore I suggest we adopt this resolution.
b. Resolution 75-017. RESOLUTION REGARDING MPLS. TAX STUDY. All of the
communities that are involved in the study are adopting a similar resoluti-
on to make their actions official and to show unity.
7. Old Business
8. New Business
a. Discussion of parking on south side of 33rd from Silver Lake Road to
Rankin Road. We are having a continuing problem with parking on 33rd in
the area mentioned above. The problem parkers are primarily students who
are too lazy to walk from the parking lots to the school.
ACTION: I have reviewed the situation with the Police Chief, the public
works superintendent and some of the residents in the area and would suggest
that we place signs limiting parking to residents from 8 to 4 weekdays
except holidays.
