The Minneapolis Park Board has numerous dead and dying Elm trees on Stinson Boulevard and Gross Golf Course in the City of St. Anthony. Staff members have contacted them and requested that the trees be marked and removed. Most of these have not been and Minneapolis staffers contacted by phone and letter have refused or neglected to even acknowledge the letters or calls . We even offered to mark the trees if they were too busy and received no response. I would recommend that a letter go from the Mayor to the Minneapolis Council with a carbon copy to the Minnesota Department of Agriculture. ACTION: Council. F. Memo from Jim Fornell re: Monument or ground signs. Memo attached. ACTION: Council. G. Memo from Jim Fornell re: C.D.B.G. Tennis Court Construction Eligibility. I concur with Jim' s recommendation that we try to use our CD grant for the courts.
