reappointed for 1979, also.
B. Chemical Abuse Information Committee - November 21, 1978.
6. Public Hearings - None
7. Ordinances and Resolutions
A. Ordinance 1978-011. An Ordinance Relating To Temporary Outdoor
Exhibitions . Copies of the land use .regulations in the zoning
• ordinance are enclosed. I do not know if the types of activities
in Ordinance 1978-011 are considered "land uses" in the ordinance.
Any control over these activities in the zoning ordinance is
rather indirect at best.
ACTION: Reject, Modify or Adopt.
B. Ordinance 1979-002 . An Ordinance Relating To Water Department
Regulations And Water Charges And Rates , Amending Portions Of
Sections 245 and 550 Of The 1973 Code Of Ordinances . Staff has
reviewed this and at this time has not suggested changes .
ACTION: First Reading.
C. Ordinance 1979-003. An Ordinance Relating To The Parking Of
Vehicles Amending Section 720 .05 Of The 1973 Code Of Ordinances .
This could help. I am a little concerned about getting a snowfall
after permission has been granted - under this ordinance parkers
couldn't be tagged or towed.
ACTION: First Reading.
D. Resolution 79-013. A Resolution Calling For A Public Hearing On
Street Improvement Project 1979-001. A memo and a project
feasibility study are enclosed.
40 ACTION: Council.
8. Old Business
A. Police Reserve . Memos enclosed.
ACTION: Council.
B. Sanitary Sewer Outlet into Roseville. Memo and engineering
services proposal enclosed.
ACTION: Recommend Approval.
C. Year V Community Development Block Grant Application. Due to
limited priorities , staffing and an increasingly complex applica-
tion process, I recommend we seriously consider withdrawing from
the program for Year VI .
ACTION: Recommend Approval of proposed preliminary
application.
9 . New Business
A. Schedule work session(s) for attorney interviews and review of
job classification/salary administration program. I would like
to get two- or three acceptable dates . If we started early, both
could be done the same evening.
ACTION: Set date (s) .
. 10 . Communications/Petitions
A. George M. Hansen Company - fee increase.
ACTION: Recommend Approval.
B. Letter from R.C. Evans re: easement. Mr. Evans is seeking com-
pensation from the City for the granting of the easement. However,
easements have been reserved in favor of the City in past con-
veyances but evidently not recorded on the title.
ACTION: Recommend we not offer more than the usual $1.00
and attempt to make Mr. Evan's clients honor the
easements reserved in past title conveyances .
C. Northern Cablevision, Inc. Any comments are due at Metro Council
by early February. We receive an occasional call from a resident
about cable T.V.
ACTION: Comments.
D. National League of Cities Washington, D.C. Congressional-City
Conference. Advance reservation deadline is 2/9/79 . An advance
program is enclosed.
