Council Minutes
June 8, 1965

1 . CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of St. Anthony
was called to order by Mayor Pro tem Dougherty at 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 8,
1965.
2. ROLL CALL
The following members were. present at roll call :
Robert 3ailey
1.1. R. Dougherty
George Erickson
Richard Sorenson
and the following were absent:
James H. McNulty (arrived late)
Also present were the Village Clerk, Village Engineer and Maintenance
Superintendent.
3. MINUTES
• Upon motion by Councilman Bailey, seconded by Councilman Sorenson, it was
moved to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of May 25, 1965, as
corrected.
The motion carried.
Upon motion by Councilman Bailey, seconded by Councilman Erickson, it was
moved to adopt Resolution No. 65-053 Ordering Plans and Specifications For
Installation of Chlorination and Fluoridation Equipment for treatment of !!ell
No. 5.

The motion carried.
6. COMMUNICATIONS, PETITIONS & REPORTS
Upon motion by Councilman Bailey, seconded by Councilman Sorenson, it was
moved to authorize the Village Manager to grant a permit to Apache Plaza
allowing 1-!est High School to hold their Commencement All Night Party at the
Apache Center on Wednesday, June 9, 1965•
• The motion carried.
Upon order of Mayor Pro tem Dougherty the minutes of the regular meeting of
the Park and Recreation Advisory Committee held June 3, 1965, were received and
filed.
Upon motion by Councilman Erickson, seconded by Councilman Bailey, it was
moved to grant a variance from the minimum side yard requirements as outlined
in Ordinance No. 66 from 30 feet to 16.93 feet on Lot 1 , Block . ], Wilshire
Park Fourth Addition as requested by Kenneth Verthien.
• The motion carried.
Upon order of Mayor Pro tem Dougherty the Addendum to the Planning ^oard
Minutes of May 10, 1965 was received and filed.
7. MISCELLANEOUS
Upon order of Mayor Pro tem Dougherty, the appointment of Linda Lakotas as
provisional Clerk-steno was noted and filed.
U. OLD ^USINESS
Upon order of Mayor Pro tem Dougherty, the April Statement of Financial
Condition was received and filed.
Upon order of Mayor Pro tem Dougherty, the First Quarter Liquor Audit
Report was received and filed.
Upon order of Mayor Pro tem Dougherty, the Village Manager, Village
Engineer, and Village Attorney were instructed to investigate further the
claim of R. L. Crouse for damages to his property at 3613 Silver Lake Road and
report at the meeting of June 22, 1965.

Upon motion by Councilman Sorenson, seconded by Councilman Bailey, it was
moved to instruct the Village Manager to discontinue the regular patrols by
• 3 U E Patrol and to enforce the dog ordinance by specific complaint only.
The motion carried.
9. VERIFIED CLAIMS
Upon motion by Councilman Sorenson, seconded by Councilman Erickson, it was
moved to authorize verified claims and approve payment thereof.

(Mayor McNulty arrived and was recognized in attendance)
Upon motion by Councilman Bailey, seconded by Mayor McNulty, it was moved
not to give Council approval for a pre-committment to re-classify any new
• employees without any consideration to job performance or to necessity for re-
classification.

12. ADJOURNMENT
• Upon motion by Councilman Erickson, seconded by Councilman Sorenson, it
was moved to adjourn.
The motion carried unanimously.
