VILLAGE OF ST. ANTHONY
iCOUNCIL MINUTES
May 26, 1969
The special meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 7:15 P. M.
Present: O'Connor, Crouse, Emond, Levandowski, Dougherty.
Also present: John Printon, Village Manager
The Mayor explained that the reason for calling the special meeting was to discuss
a proposed informational sign to be located at the High School.
Members of the School Board and Superintendent Brown discussed with the Village
Council, the need for the sign and the use it would be put to notify residents of
events held at the hfgh school. Mr. Brown explained that the sign would have a
brick base and was 4' x 81 in size and would be placed perpendicular to the building
with the lighted face to be viewed from an easterly or westerly direction. Board
Chairman Dr. Kirk explained to the Council that the sign was purchased in 1968 and
the Board was not aware of any zoning conflict,
Councilman Crouse moved and seconded by Mayor O'Connor that a variance be granted
District 282 for the erection of a 4' x 8' informational sign at the high school
site, with the restriction that no further signing be granted for other school
locations.
Voting on the motion:
Aye: O'Connor, Crouse, Emond, Levandowski.
Nay: Dougherty.
Motion carried.
Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by ,Councilman Emond that the meeting be
adjourned.
Motion carried.
