A RESOLUTION APPROVING INSTALLATION OF
"NO PARKING AT ANY TIME" SIGNS
WHEREAS, the Cities of St. Anthony and Columbia Heights have approved a joint
powers agreement calling for installation of a traffic light to be located at the
intersection of 39th Avenue NE and Stinson Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, to improve and maintain traffic flow it is determined that: (1) left hand turn
lanes be located from 37th Avenue NE to 40th Avenue NE; (2) that Stinson
Boulevard be striped with three traffic lanes from 37th Avenue NE to 40th
Avenue NE; and (3) three traffic lanes be striped on 39th Avenue NE
between Stinson Boulevard and Apache Plaza.
• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St.
Anthony hereby approves "No Parking At Any Time" signs be installed on both sides of
39th Avenue NE and on the east side of Stinson Boulevard between 37th Avenue NE and
Silver Lane to ease traffic flow in and around the roadways to the west of Apache Plaza.

Dear Property Owner:
The City of St. Anthony is in a joint power agreement with the City of Columbia Heights for
the installation of a traffic light at 39th Avenue NE and Stinson Boulevard.
To complete a good traffic flow with the signal it is necessary to develop left hand turning lanes
on 39th Avenue NE and Stinson Boulevard. We are suggesting that the road be striped with
three traffic lanes from 37th Avenue NE and Stinson Boulevard to Silver Lane and Stinson
Boulevard and also 39th Avenue NE from Stinson Boulevard to the end of the road at Apache
Plaza.
To make left hand turning lanes it is necessary to install "no parking at any time" signs on both
roads, both sides of the street. This requires a resolution by the City Council and will be
considered by the Council on March 26, 1996.
