ANTHONY RESOLUTION 98-017 A RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE VIDEO TAPING AND LIVE BROADCASTING OF CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS WHEREAS, it is the desire of the St. Anthony City Council to continue to increase its residents' awareness of City issues and events. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony hereby directs City staff to proceed with the process which will enable City Council meetings to be video taped and broadcasted live on cable television by March 10, • 1998 Council meeting. The funds were used to hire Bill Bruce/AV Design and purchase the sound system in the Council Chambers. The present balance in Cable Reserves is $41,787. The $14,405 is not included in that number. The excess revenue versus what we actually spend could support the hiring of a part-time position. Video Tape Council Meetings: Part-Time Employee $ 720.00 3hrs @a $10 Hr X 24 Council Meetings $ 80.00 Benefits (Fica) $ 800.00 $1,500.00 Video Tapes/Filming Supplies $ 500.00 General Supplies • $ 200.00 Travel, School, Conference $3,000.00* Budget for Telecasting Council Meetings * Funding would come from Cable Television Franchise Fees which the City receives.
